She’s a social butterfly

We couldn’t come home to too much quiet, could we? Since we’ve been back from the west coast, we’ve kept busy with mama and baby friends, and also some of our own usual suspects.

On Thursday, Uncle Alberto arrived and we celebrated by heading out to the new Dino BBQ in Newark with Uncle Seth.

Uncle Seth looked like he needed a spit shower, and Ada knew exactly what to do.

On Friday, Daddy and Alberto went into the city for the day, so we took the opportunity for a sleep-in, a visit to the coffee shop with Lucie and Benito, and then we put together Ada’s big girl high chair! Afterwards Seth and Carly came over for pizza and after Ada went to bed, it felt a bit like our BC (before child) days.

Everyone’s a fan of our highchair except Sophie the Giraffe.

Daddy had to work on Saturday, but Jessica Vought arrived in the afternoon to keep Ada, Mama and Alberto company. While Mama went to pick up Vought at the train station in Newark, Alberto stayed with Ada… and apparently helped her sit up by herself! She’s still a bit wobbly, but she does seem to enjoy the independence.

She’s a free range baby now.

And after lunch, we all went to Torico’s for homemade ice cream. Mmmm!

Off we go! She’ll have mocha chip in a waffle cone. Someday.

After some snuggle time with Auntie Vought, we decided to meet Daddy in Brooklyn for dinner. We went to a deee-lish Italian place in Williamsburg called Aurora. We are all eating well this weekend, that’s for sure!

Ada says, “Forget Italian. I’d like to eat this necklace.”
